A Real Safe Roads Campaigner!

After reading this analysis of a book published in the sixties, I just despair! This is a Highway engineer actually looking at the REAL causes of accidents, the REAL effects of lowering speed limits and commenting on the half-witted morons who demand a lowering of limits, who sit there smugley ignoring the FACT that they have caused MORE accidents. He also insisted the police investigated the REAL cause of accidents before changing the road engineering. Note the accident put down to "Drink driving" which he showed was mainly down to bad Signage and a junction "invisible" to road users. Perhaps pressure groups insisting on clamping down on drivers should read this, especially the legal section where it is pointed out how BADLY the law treats drivers. Something a minority of the BIB seem to have a bland spot about. I am already trying to obtain a copy of this, but perhaps we all need to know just how badly our roads are engineered!
