Except I stopped there on way up to Liverpool for breakfast and stopped on way down for dinner, before continuing to London.

Retards have a pic of my car entering at around 8am and another one of my car leaving around 9pm.

Yep! I love doing 280 mile round trips just to sit at a services from sun up till sun down.

Is it still the case to ignore the letter or do I have to appeal?

Fekin tiresome. Money grabbing twuntS.

First of all DO NOT reply to the speculative invoice until you have done following

Get onto pepipoo.com...this smacks of a double dip which is easily got rid of.

Listen and do what the guyd on pepipoo tell you to do esp re the contact...it is always the driver did this or the river did that

Is it a lease or company car? if so let pepipoo know asap as there is a diffrent way to approach this

Have you any receipts for the period between the in and out times they claim? if so hang onto them they are you secret weapon

BUT DO get onto pepipoo. these companies rely on mumpties riolling over for their existence..fight them as seems the cae here and the money stays in your pocket
OR pay up and feed the vermin...its your choice

No way I'm paying anything.

Just wondered if it's worth bothering with an appeal to CP Plus themselves?

Nice to see yor post on there.

What they are asking is that you photocopy both sides of the tick but redact ant info that could indentfy you

You cannot put the pics straight on but have to have a hosting site to link it to.

I think there is a link on there on how to do it.

Do not contact the PPC until further advice from peopipoo

I can find bank statements that show payment of toll both north and south, lunch bought in Liverpool and whatsapp conversations and pics of my day in Liverpool whilst my daughter was at her interview.

I guess my problem is that statements or receipts don't prove my car was with me.

Just beggars belief that they cannot comprehend that you might visit the same services in one day.

We do it for work quite often and always go to same place up and down to break the journey and as there are a number of trucks and cars, we can all meet up.

Surely you entered northbound services one way and southbound the other, are their systems so seriously flawed they allow this?

The services are one road off the motorway onto a roundabout. It serves both North and South.

Surely a quick phone call will sort it out?

You’ll have passed through the northbound tolls after leaving the services, so there should be CCTV or ANPR evidence that you had left the services.

It would be worth contacting the M6 Toll company to see if they can provide this evidence

The stuff I am reading seems to suggest that an appeal will be ignored and that I have to go down some long winded battle with the correct words and templates.

Really fekin angry about this and tempted to pay a solicitor and sue them in court, even if it does cost me more than the fine.

There is a number, high rate, and it says that it's not for appeals.

I have been calling the services themselves in order to complain but no one is picking up.

Are the guys at pepeepoo tackling this in the normal way they tackle parking 'fines'? I'd say your circumstances aren't that you're challenging the fine as its not legal etc, but rather challenging the fine because its a mistake on the part of the operator.

This sort of modern day st really wears you down, having to waste your personal time to avoid being punished for something you haven't done but someone else has a vested interest in not accepting it.

The opportunity to smack the owner of that company in the face with an iron bar would be worth several of the tickets.

Unfortunately not, they may not pursue in court, but they will keep sending letters, often from their own debt recovery companies, in the hope that some will pay, and some would even though they weren't there, as letters saying court action etc will be taken, does scare some people.

Very true. I have wasted most of my afternoon on a lovely day, tracking down receipts and any other evidence that shows that I was not sitting idly at a motorway services all day.

This has got to a be a case for all those PPI, ever been in an accident etc lawyers.

Start giving these shysters a bloody nose and then they might not be so quick to send out dodgy fines.

Looks like you have it sorted

You must understand that these buggers only exist because people cave in and pay. Take a bit of time. Follow the pepipoo route and they will spend more money on nothing

You MAY get letters threatening court action we MAY do this, but they very rarely do

IF you get any correspondence from Debt Collections agencies ( NOTE no baliffs) just tell them to the debt is denied and if further contact is made it will be considered as harrassment ( pep will give you the full SP itf that happens) you have them by the short and curlies with the receipts just play with them

Indeed. For all they know, you may have left your car there and travelled up with a friend/colleague in their car.

A cynic would suggest that it does seem odd that the ANPR picked your car up on the way in in the morning and out in the evening, but not the way out in the morning or in in the evening. Which, of course, is the pattern it would pick up if it had been there all day.

...and that cynic would also point out that you could then save fuel/destination parking by combining vehicles...

My wife got a letter from a parking enforcement company. The park allows 20 minutes free but regardless, on the 12 Dec (conveniently) it stated that about 2 months prior... la la la
At which point it becomes moot having timed out. Clearly a 'see how many dumb-asses fall for this' scam.

Some might be inclined to pay the 'fine' (invoice) because they are intimidated and simply donate to the companies Christmas pot...

I don't even get why they would be monitoring this?! Is there really a problem of people parking up in motorway service for hours on end?! I've never once been in a service station and not found a space either
