Can anyone tell me if it is legal to be issued with a parking ticket whilst you are in your car attempting to rejoin the traffic.

I stopped today briefly, was about to resume my journey and the ticket guy stepped in front of my car and began entering my details into his gizmo. there was a gap in the traffic at that point so I drove around him. Can I get a ticket?

Apart from the fact that he was a total bar steward Your arguement is "not correctly served"

If he's that much of a barstard he'll probably lie and say he did. You may have to go to court and swear on oath. Was there any CCTV footage out of interest? If there was, you watch him back down.... And then put in a formal complaint!

If it was a Warden employed by LA or sub contractor to LA then if he didn't hand you the ticket or stick it on the car before you drove away, the ticket is invalid, even if you receive a notice to owner through the post. You will however have to go through the appeal system even as far as to the Adjudicator.

But if it is in an area where there is a red route or area controlled by the Police, ticket could be valid.
