Motor Legal Protection
Discussion
Doing an insurance quote on the Meerkats etc.
"Motor Legal Protection" is an additional cost on most policies.
The way I'm reading it is that my legal expenses are covered if I run someone over etc. but this covers me if I need to claim from someone else for an accident that wasn't my fault.
Sounds a bit of a "where there's blame there's a claim" thing - do people consider it worth it?

Get a standalone policy. Two years/two cars for less than one year from your Insurer:

Whoever you deal with, Insurer or standalone, it'll probably be farmed out to one of the Cheshire factory law firms.

I think my query is more whether you even need it rather than where's cheapest?
Insurer's looking likely to be LV and even watching the video it looks unnecessary https://youtu.be/eNkMjuIVUzY

If you have legal expenses insurance, you won't have to sign up with a no win no fee ambulance chasing solicitor if you're involved in a non fault accident. The biggest benefit of this is avoiding losing 25% of your general damages to a solicitor working on a CFA with an after the event insurance policy.
