Personalised Plate - V Reg. Plate on S Reg. Car?

[Stu08]

Good evening,

I understand that you are not allowed to put a 17 plate on a 07 car under the new registration layout.

Does the same apply to prefix registrations? For example in 1999 you could get S, T, V Reg. Plated cars. If I have a S plate, can I put on a personalised V plate?

Thanks for any help.

No, you cannot put a "V" plate on a "S" car.

Thanks for the reply.

I thought as much, that's a shame but it is what it is.

nothing to do with layouts...
you basically can’t make a car look newer, so anything from the year of the car, or before, or 'dateless' (no prefix / suffix)
