My cctv captured the same man filming and taking photos of the front of my house yesterday and today. Any ideas why? Precursor to burglary?

Perhaps.....is your house quite unique with regards to the styling? Maybe he likes it and is wanting something similar
Have you recently had any sort of extension that you may not have applied for planning permission for?
I'm assuming the house isn't up for sale.

I can't really imagine burglars taking photos - it's hardly likely to be like oceans eleven type of heist....unless you are seriously well off and it shows

Have you put in any planning applications recently? Have any of your immediate neighbours?

Have you upset any resident PHer?

He may have been surveying how many frozen sausages are required...

I don’t see where the ‘furtively’ part in the title comes into it. It sounds quite open to me.

Because the OP has literally used the word 'furtively' to describe how the bloke was acting. If it was quite open he'd probably have said 'man quite openly taking photos of front of my house'.

Can't be that furtive, if the average domestic CCTV enabled the photography to be identified...

putting the wind up comments to one side, I'd be surprised if anyone were totally indifferent to someone taking photographs of their home, especially more than once. Assuming the CCTV is visible I would probably take some comfort in that it is most likely something less sinister than burglary planning. Should it be that, I doubt their break and enter skills are highly competent however!

Just a thought... The photography was during the working day?

Could simply be an awkward sod who believes your CCTV is an invasion of privacy and is trying to "get you back".

Your wife is leaving you and got an estate agent to value it and prepare to market it!
