Havnt got any through, but was recently in italy and did a fair bit of driving in rental car around Tuscany, which was actually a joy and got used to loca driving styles quite quickly.

Had real difficulty figuring out the speed limits the whole time with the satnav displaying one limit, there being a different limit posted on signs and locals all going much quicker.

The limits seemed to go up and down all the time and there were quite a few speed cameras about.

If you get fined how do you pay? Do you get notified in the post?

If you were in a rental the fines will go to the rental company who will then come after you for any fines plus a hefty admin fee for the privilege

Except over bridges, where it's supposed to be 100, and there never seems to be an NSL afterwards, so they are ignored anyway wink

Rental co would give the authority your details and they would write you. You pay any fines direct. Rental co will charge an admin fee 30-50 euros normally. Good luck
