spin·drift Etymology: alteration of Scots speendrift, from speen to drive before a strong wind + English drift 1 : sea spray; especially : spray blown from waves during a gale 2 : fine wind-borne snow or sand So, something insubstantial that blows whichever way the wind does. Rather sums it up, don't you think? Streaky (Which is a nickname from my schooldays.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does anyone know an easy way of converting the OS Grid References to Longitude/Latitude as used by CP5 POI's?

I'm a caravanner and both the major clubs publish the OS refs for club sites so I could set up a POI file for all of them if I could get the Long/Lat values. At the moment I have to guess the last few yards to the site entrance from the club instructions but it would be great to get CP5 to take me right to the entrance. It ain't easy turning round in a narrow road with a caravan on the back when you've just missed the last turn!

The mailing addresses tend not to be in the map data, and with the lower level postcodes not available it can get a bit hit and miss.

Er. Right. A bit hard of thinking, this one.

There is indeed another way that does not end in death Spindrift. Do not steal cars, if you must steal cars then stop when challenged by the police. So simple even a child could understand.

If its the same person, she's lining up posts she can respond to herself...

Und this person gives wimmin bad name

It badly needs some tablets to control the PMT ....this will help it decide left from right und decide if going right way on one way street.

But hold on... ist spinning driftwood really Cathy Browne or has it just used her name? (See below for what the felines (lot of us ) on various sites have reported back to me to post here). If I read the post - its sounds like she ist being sarcastic by saying that fleeing car would stop for BiB? Und that speed cam ist a bit - er useless - as does not stop bad driving. But admit - have not read through the full thing. - but it reads to me as if Cathy Browne is disagreeing mit spindrift on there - per the two entries - or both are same schizophrenic talking mit each other....

Spinning driftwood here - used to post as Bimbwimblyfimbly on C+ ...

Got banned from C+ for generally getting on wick of even the most militant C+ cyclists. But real reason as I understand from my sister (a tame cat ) (who ist long time member from start of the site - established und respected - but not as petrolheadedest feline of course... But ist a legend - they still talk about her tame feline character on there Und there are my own lurks to see what goes on there...und I enjoy a good laugh. (ist very funny....such odd opinions ...but be sure not to have coffee in hand when you read it...)...that it what because Bombed Out Brain here sent offensive e-mail to another C+ member who disagreed with it over something or other. It could even be the apoplectic one on a lonely planet cycling forum as well - another member of this family has fur-balls on there!

Bombed Brain re-enlisted on C+ as alex smelling but got short shrift und ist possibly mab bee as suspected by one or two on there from a general read though on the site.

Made one post on Paul's site to complain about someone disagreeing with him on C+ und also complained about my sister at same time - no doubt aimed at IG (our cousin) und my husband who both post on there.

It also trolled another forum as Katie - und got flattened by my eldest cousin on there. It never came back....

But I would not put it past this one to do something like this... from all the other inventions. Think we are misreading Cathy Browne - she could be "normal" und being tongue-in -cheek - ist just a thought.

Ach streaky... had not seen this post of autismuk's But alex snelling (My sister typed it as smelling a Freudian slip....

She tells me that C+ had Nice Tame Cat (which was my sister und a naughty duplicate - rule breaking account she set up so that she would not upset her established reputation in the C+ sensible fora) und Bombed Brain set up one as NICE TAME CAT to make petty post about her... It also made postings on C+ as PANTOMIME CAT, JEHOVAH and Mephistocat (We have one of those abroad - but not in Gabon.... Guy ist in Germany.....)

Ist a strange type indeed ... ist Cathy's photo in her profile this person or another person whose photographic image it is using.... und this ist against law to do so surely?

Ist indeed a seriously disturbed individual.... must be all that cycling... ist not healty to do so all the time.... It needs balance....of driving fast

Full story.
EDP24 said:
The youth [that the policeman was chasing] was convicted of dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and without insurance, failing to stop for police and after an accident.

He was trying to avoid capture after a driving incident earlier that day and told his terrified passenger "they don't normally follow me down the wrong way".

A warrant had also been issued for his arrest after he failed to make a court date in December...

The youth is applying for legal aid to fund an appeal to keep his identity secret after magistrates agreed with the EDP and other media that he should be named.
I'm with her! That camera would really have helped.

Actually, I think she's trolling there too. I just can't believe that anybody is really that stupid.

I'm so glad I found this thread - thought I was going crazzzeeeee. Now I know my instant dislike of Spinners is not irrational.
