Criteria of receiving a speed awareness course

Morning all,

Recieved a NIP through this morning asking me to confirm the driver of the vehicle on the day of the offence. No issues, it was me.

Questions is what is the criteria on receiving a speed awareness course?

Was doing 62mph in a 50mph on smart motorway (M3).

There's a SAC for 'Smart' motorway driving, I did one for 70 in a 60 on the M5 last year. So you might well get the same for 12 over

I’d say it’s a 100% chance, although it could be a Motorway Awareness Course, which is effectively the same thing, but also means you can do an SAC for a non-motorway offence within the next three years too.
