Hi all, I recently got flashed for doing 60 in a 40 going through a variable speed camera at 10:30pm during a weekday. It was 2nd to last gantry before it changed to national speed limit.

What I like to know is are all variable speed camera's now working on the M25? or are some only working in certain sections?

I read that some people receive nips going past the Cobham services junction 10.

But I came past this thread dated April 2016 in the link below, where someone says there's no data to suggest people don't get NIPS past junctions 11-16 in either direction?

Can anyone confirm this or know any information?

Not always working, no. Specifically the area you mention, too. I was travelling behind a colleague recently at peak time, 50mph and she was flashed. This was two months ago and has heard nothing.
I on the other hand was flashed at midnight (M25 J25-24) doing 58 in a 50 and received a letter within 3 days.
You’ll never really know until the letter drops. Or doesn’t.

All of the cameras that are intended to work do work
When do they work? Nothing to do with you really.
Some are live some not. All can be live but when they are varies.
Hope that assists. smile

You could stick an FOI request in. There is some precedent for these being complied with. You may get it refused initially, on prejudice grounds, but you would stand a good chance of winning on appeal. The Tribunals usually go against bodies, in matters like this, because they don't usually allow it without actual causation rather than hypothetical. So in effect they will say, put the info out there first, then demonstrate actual harm caused for future denials.

Of course by then you will have long ago found out if you got caught.
