Does anyone know from experience if these work? I'm no scientist but I don't see how they can!

Although I know a BiB rider who has one on his private bike. What does he know?

I don't believe they work, though.

Try www.camerashyplates.co.uk instead

These definitely will not work against laser or VASCAR enforcement, these use video as evidence (no flash photography).

Not sure about gatso, truvelo or SPECS. I would guess the top-most plate has a semi-transparent retro type reflector, hence overexposing the imager. I don’t know TBH.

Buy one and I’ll examine it for you

They might well work against GATSOs, but they'll also work against the headlamps of a traffic car.

So you'd get pulled, and fined. Not cheap.

I have seen a Camera Shy plate that works - under certain conditions.

When a picture is taken with flash photography it reflects the flash back making it more difficult, but not impossible, to read however if the same picture is taken at an angle it does sometimes become completely illegible, either way it is more difficult to read.

So they do work under certain conditions but not sure if those conditions would be replicated by a Gatso.

Just take your plates off, there will be nobody to stop you for it because cameras are keeping us all safe now.

Even if the photo is initially illegible the scamera employees have imaging processing software to uncover such hidden plates. Remember the governement can't keep our hospitals clean but they can (and will) use every piece of technology they can to extract money from us!!!

yes but if photos are enhanced I believe they are not admissable as evidence.
