Really annoys me to the point of distraction... Why have I been nailed three times for speeding on dual carriageways (aside from the fact I was breaking the speed limit) when there is never any cameras or police outside my daughters school when some idiot driving his Saxo cruises past at 70mph in a 40mph limit? I collect my daughter (or my wife does) every day but there has never been any police presence even though it's a very busy road. It's the same in town - boy racer after boy racer nails their neon enhanced car in 1st past loads of pedestrians / pushchairs - there's nothing to stop them! There's a 30mph road leading up to my housing estate which is fairly steep - therefore most people tend to cruise down the hill at well over the speed limit but there is never any police and there is certainly no cameras even though there’s a load of kids using it from school! At one point there was talk of one of those flashing signs (which probably only work on the intellectually challenged) which show a speed camera or speed limit. Is it any wonder why people dislike the current state of highway law enforcement – we pay the tax, we should have a say where these things should go… Anyway, feel better now… Thanks.

Appreciate your comments, been in similar situation myself.

Presume you have actually advised your local Police of the situation?

either or or

If not, then might be worthwhile, if only to air your frustration at the correct ears.......

If not, then

All you will get is the usual mantra of the scamera mob, they are there for safety - my arse. If cameras were placed in the right places, eg outside schools there would be virtually no complaints.

Speeds outside schools are fairly low anyway due to the high volume of traffic.

Its basically becuase monitoring a dual carriageway is much easier than monitoring a busy high street, and they'll do you for a technical offence but not actually contribute towards safety.

Jobs for the boys tbh.
