just went by a site set up by the police earlier on
it consisted of
1 police van
2 small cameras on tripods each pointing to the traffic in both directions
1 sign saying "traffic survey"
is this a mobile speed detector site?
i have got a snooper but no alarm sounded whilst in the area
the cameras were small only about 10 inches long and cylinder shaped
any one got any thoughts

I think you will find (although I am no expert) that this was a road tax exercise. They look at your reg, compare it to DVLA records and see if you have paid up. If thats what it was then they usually have a car/bikes near by to go after you.

The BIB just seemed more interested in having a gas and leaving the equipment to do it's job. Pitty...if I'd have known I could have revved it up as I went passed to see if the tripods fell over.
