Speed Camera in company car park

Hi,
The company I work for is installing speed cameras in the employee car parks. These car parks are private property owned by the company and only used by staff. My question is around the legality of the speeding ticket if someone is caught speeding?
Could this be challenged?

I don't think anyone will get a speeding ticket as most people think of them. An employer can set reasonable standards and rules breach of them can lead to misconduct proceedings. This may be a tool to enforce this, some private premises use speed guns etc. The company I work for is installing speed cameras in the employee car parks. I once hit 60 in a 15 on a long straight empty boring road inside the wire fence at an MOD facility. f
k me, whose going to drive 3/4 of a mile at 15 mph when it's 6 am and nobodies about. A sign did flash up with my speed.
I'm told occasionally the management would ban offenders from driving on site.
I also had a jackass get out of his car to chastise me for using my phone...Which was against Health and safety rules on an aerospace site.
In.my defence, the queue to get out of the gate hadn't moved for 5 minutes, I had my handbrake on, and was.out of gear and I was phoning my wife to say my 2 hour commute was looking like 4 as the M6 was closed according to.the traffic bulletin.
I did a risk assessment and decided that the likelihood of a fatal crash or points on my.licence (as not on the pubic highway) were both zero.
I still can't believe I was so.polite to the tt when he started hammering on my window.

If you are used to normal business parks and industrial estates it seems alien but bear in mind these are often on or parallel to the same tarmac that Vmax-style events use. So plenty of speed is achievable.
Not necessarily unsafe, but "their gaff" rules apply.

I'd say the cameras are a good idea in this situation... A work mate had an old Mini Cooper that he liked to blat between the speedbumps on a site road, he got done for speeding on the basis of the opinion of a guard even though he was doing 19 in a 20. Noise made it sound fast. They installed cameras, he did the exact same thing and he never had an issue but many in normal quiet cars who smashed through the speed bumps started to find themselves receiving tickets.The company I work for is installing speed cameras in the employee car parks. ETA not cameras, radar speed signs that the guards would refer to... It's late!
One office I worked in it was an automated email warning, then a phone call from Facilities, then a meeting with HR telling you your parking privileges were being removed for varying lengths of time. It actually worked pretty well and I only heard of one person who got more than a 1 day parking ban but that clown was doing more than 20mph over in the snow and sideways if rumours are believed.

Yep, pretty much this. Bear in mind any aerospace site will be especially hot on H&S, so if it's a quiet day in the dept one of the H&S bods will need something to stick their noses in to pass the time.If you are used to normal business parks and industrial estates it seems alien but bear in mind these are often on or parallel to the same tarmac that Vmax-style events use.
