Is a black and white VRM plate only legal on pre 1973 vehicles? That is an N prefix which is 1995, so way off.

I note the Telegraph refers to it as a Robin Reliant - one of my pet hates!

I believe the black plate rule was changed to relate to the historic tax class, and so is effectively a rolling exemption now at 40 years old, even though this is technically "wrong" from a historical perspective.

No, it's a 'n' prefix, not suffix so it's a '95, not a '75. It'll be a while before that reaches historic status and entitled to wear a white on black plate.

Yes you're right, a 1995 could be a Robin or a Rialto as they resurrected the Robin name in 1989, Christ knows why.
