Does anyone know what the camera's on the A34 are?

I'm not sure if I should be worried or not but I noticed two sets of cameras on the A34 just south of the M40 junction (southbound carriage way) I was, as the term goes making progress, when I saw the first pair of cameras, they are not like any I've seen before, 2 cameras one behind the other on a post on the side of the road, they seemed to have an additional pod on top of each of the camera housing.
A liitle while further down the A34 (still before the Oxford turn off) I noticed another set of identical cameras. Obviously I am thinking SPECS but these were not like any other specs cameras I've ever seen, fairly sure they are not ANPR.
So does any one here know what they might be,

One camera behind the other? Were they pointing the same way? If not, and they were blue, then it sounds like the Trafficmaster ones - in which case, relax.

Colour, not sure really, sort of grey I guess, but they were definately not the blue traffic master ones.

All the SPECS round here (London) are painted yellow. AIUI any partnership cams need to be yellow. Police ones can be camo grey...
