Really started watching these videos over the last few week and it's amazing how police officers don't know the laws they are trying to enforce.

I think this video reflects this fairly accurately. I really don't see how the officer could try and do this driver for undertaking his vehicle, not to mention the complete misunderstanding of the advice about carrying documents and bus lane etiquette.
The channel clearly has massive beef with the plod so proceed with caution if you watch any other videos he narrates.

These videos are starting to create a bit of a terrible downward trend of police baiting. It's weird how you only see the successful videos.. I appreciate the law is the law, and that the law should be kept in check, but people like this baiting police into engagement for Youtube is pathetic. Let the proper indenpendent channels do what they are supposed to do.

. Just goes to show to some people 'winning' an argument is everything.My daughter had an argument with a policeman in an unmarked car last year when she was in an out of hours bus lane.
He pulled up alongside her when at a red light and started beeping at her and gesticulating towards her to get her attention, she ignored him at first as she felt a bit threatened, what with a "weirdo" to her right trying to get her attention.
In the end she looked over and he gave her the whole you are in a bus lane spiel and he could fine her if he wanted to and why was she ignoring a police officer, fair play to her she responded with, it wasn't in operation as a bus lane at that time, he wasn't having any of it though and just carried on threatening her with a fine and questioning why she was in the bus lane, eventually the lights changed and he just sped off.
Same bus lane area, her (now ex) boyfriend failed his driving test for not keeping left, he wasn't in the bus lane during his test, it was out of hours at the time.

I would almost bank on the cam car going much more the 20mph and it was all to get a reaction or get one over on the met van! isn’t it?Officer is an idiot but the cam car driver wasted 10 minutes of his life to get a bit of footage!
why undertake at much more than 20mph!!! Cam car driver can be as clever as you like but he wanted a fight.

I would hazard a guess if both officers made a statement that the driver was defo doing over 20mph as I would suggest he is then he could have been reported for careless and inconsiderate as excessive speed could be argued.Just have some respect and don't start a conflict in the first place.
My thoughts exactly are he thought he was being clever and the officer was not sharp.
Also if he is such an amazing driver how come he failed to plan for the merge in turn, I wouldn't have steamed up the inside of a 4.5tn merc at any rate!
Both seem to have a childish manner to me. The copper allows himself to get riled when he realises he is with a smart arse BUT also a smart arse who is being smug.
At that point (very early) I would say the copper should decide his course of action - ticket or no ticket - say his piece and leave.

Officer shouldn't have got in a conversation with him about it, if he was going to bother stopping him for it just report him & move on. Agreed he shouldn't have backed down, I would of gone for excessive speed (careless) as I am 99.9% certain he exceeded the 20mph being a smart a*** to pass the met on inside and then has the front to tell them its bad driving outside of the left lane when outside of bus lane hours!I don't have sound on the desktop so didn't bother watching too much but, regardless of who's in the right, the Youtuber was clearly being an idiot on purpose. Perhaps many of us would drive like that to bait a numbskull civilian driver, but to do it to the Police is silly. It's potentially a hard one to win, even if you're in the right, and why waste their time? What calls were they missing whilst dealing with this prat?
I remember being stopped by a PC the best part of two decades ago - I was a 23yo in a loud Mk2 Golf GTI, it used to happen a lot! - and due to a case of bad timing on my part, he'd decided I'd been racing the car in front of me around all night. Turned out later he was struggling to tell the difference between a grey Golf GTI and my Jade Green one, but it was just one of those things. Hear him out politely, whilst inwardly thinking he was a prat, until he let me get on my way. Amazing to think that would make for video entertainment these days!
