Parked then taken ill

This happened today and I am anticipating a PCN
My wife briefly visited a shop, parked up then went to a dental appointment. During a tooth extraction she fainted. I was called and drove there. She was kept there for a few hours as the dentist was concerned. She was faint, dizzy, nauseous. The dentist called her doctor, who recommended an ambulance was called. They eventually came, called an on-call consultant, and after an ecg and full check over in the ambulance, she was eventually released home in my care, with me driving her in my car. Her car remains there, I will collect it tomorrow if she is able to be left alone. I have a copy of the ambulance service treatment statement and details.
Has anyone had a similar sitaution? Was clemency applied?

Similar thing happened to my Dad a few years ago. He parked in a municipal car park while visiting GP; GP said ' You're not driving anywhere' and sent him to hospital by ambulance.
Car stayed for 24 hours until a friend went and collected it, and got a ticket.
He appealed with a letter from the GP and the ticket was cancelled. And he was OK, turned out to be a false alarm.

You should have a Patient Report Form from the ambulance that attended.
Submit a copy of that with your appeal.
Yes, thanks, I have that. My wife is better now (she apparently had the classic symptoms of a very bad reaction to the Lidocaine local anaesthetic injection). It is not very nice waiting outside the stationary ambulance, convinced that its movement is CPR being performed. Not nice at all.Submit a copy of that with your appeal.

Entirely reasonable to ask this question and be concerned, because maybe, just maybe someone may have been in this situation before and can provide a little insight on what to do if a FPN comes in whilst he is trying to deal with his wife, but then here you are being the most unhelpful person in the world for the sake of what? Raising a pointless view that achieves nothing, posts like yours are one of the main reasons this place has gone downhill.OP I think you might be alright, depending on council or private, Popla would help private and council just explain the situation, provide medical reports etc.

I'm just glad the OP's wife is OK, and I can also understand his concern about potential parking issues - but maybe that's just me!
Back in 2006 Mrs Tidy and I went to London for an Eric Clapton concert at the Royal Albert Hall and as it was a weekend I parked on a single yellow line as it didn't apply when I left the car. I got to the RAH, but never made it to the event as I had a TIA just before we were going to our seats.
So after a while I got carted off to A & E by ambulance for the night and she came with me, but then she had to find the car to get home to Berkshire!
If it had been left there overnight I'm sure there would have been silly charges and maybe clamping - and at a time like that you really don't need to be dealing with PNCs.
