Do RedSpeed Cameras Flash?

Hi,

yes I know its probably a stupid question but does anyone know if the RedSpeed Cameras Flash.

Was setting off for work this morning and on my route I pass a RedSpeed Camera that monitors both speed and the Red traffic light, problem is, this morning after a really bad night I cant remember going past it at all, I cant even remember the junction if im Honest, I can remember the first part of the road and the last which I know is really bad.


As it was 6am and Dark im guessing that I would have noticed a huge flash go off if Id gone through the red light or was speeding, but thats if they do flash?

I’m guessing that this is a really bright flash like a speed camera? I can’t remember seeing a flash and I’m guessing that with it being dark at 6am even if I did t see it in my mirrors i would have noticed it, ( even if my brain seemed to have wandered it would have made me refocus if it was bright).

Only got about 5 hours sleep.

I'm never sure if all Red Light cameras check speed as well, or have I missed some warning signage?
Maybe not as I'm darn sure I've sped past some assuming that provided I haven't gone through a red I'm OK.

Bristol and london have speed cameras that double as red light cameras, they are designed to stop you speeding up when the lights change from green to orange.

A lot of the newer ones are calibrated exactly to GPS speed (20 may read as 26 resulting in a ticket in some parts of London where 20 zones are all the rage). They may not always flash if the light levels are sufficient enough. They are all digital now. Get waze and take care. Don't speed up to beat a light. Not worth the aggro

I don't understand what you are saying.
Are you saying that:

a they only flash in low light?
b they work in 20 zones?
c they are set at the exact limit, not set some amount higher than the limit?
