To be fair driving instructors generally patrol a certain area.So their local knowledge should be above average.
They clearly weren't paying attention.
When you should be paying extra attention!
I personally wouldn't report it or write on PH about it but I hope the instructor takes a serious lesson from this (and I am not saying I want him to be banned from teaching).
Reminds me of Ed. Bad things happened to Ed all the time - he was just one of those unlucky persons.
He drove into a one way road in error, realised his error and turned around. Caught the attention of plod,, who breathalyzed him and discovered that the morning after was a real thing.. He kept his job, but his penance was his dad driving him around on site visits for the next 12/24 months. Not sure the penance was worth keeping the job for myself!

Done the same and was stopped by plod and asked if I had seen the arrows, I said "Arrows, didnt even see the Indians"........
Two songs come to mind "the Cherokees were after me " & "No wheels on my wagon" .But ,locally I live near a driving test centre, and it's one of the few places in the town, where there's no "I'm taking my right of way ,whether it's mine or not". Personally, I look out for learners and do unto them as I'd like done to me ,as a learner. show them courtesy and how courtesy makes life easier for all.
