Anybody know what the procedure is with scamera vans targetting vehicles going away from them, reason being :-
I was travelling along the A45 Northampton when I spotted one on the opposite carriageway, targeting oncoming vehicles, it was a 40mph limit but wasn't dual carriageway although there was a safety barrier differentiating the lanes.
My Road Angel 2 screamed out " Laser Alert - Laser Alert check speed " and the LCD readout was reading 44mph, obviously I slammed anchors on and got down to under posted speed limit,so do I dread the postie for the next 14 days or can I sleep soundly.
What do you reckon ?

44 in a 40, you should be ok.

Cross lane enforcement is normal on a single carriageway.

Check out the ACPO guidelines on speed enforcement, you'll find that 46 is where the recommended start is for enforcement.

Be more aware of your speed and limits and you'll not have to go around jamming your anchors on!
