Abuse for not selling a car?!

Had our T5 advertised on ebay, man offers just under asking and i accept - he agrees to collect and pay this morning.
He turns up and then proceeds to nit pick the whole van, trying to chip the price down. I stand firm, he gets shirty and leaves.
I ring the dealer we are buying our new car from (downsizing) and they agree to give us our new car and some additional money in exchange for the van, it works out i get what i originally wanted for the van before i accepted the blokes lower offer.
On the way to collect the new car i get a text asking for £100 compensation for wasting his time and diesel! I refuse and it threatens me saying ‘i know where you live’
Ignore him, the van is put directly up for sale by the garage and the bloke sees it, messages me again saying he will take things further and how dishonest i am.
Tell him to wind his neck in and to leave me alone.
He replies saying i will get whats coming and he will be back in my area soon.
Ignore, contact police or wind him up some more?

No point provoking the abusive "customer". Just gather the info required and report it to the police and inform the idiot that he's been reported. Chances are he'll get radio silence there onwards.Send him a nice pic of you sitting outside his house/work etc

Totally this. OP, do you have a missus and kids living there with you? When someone starts making those sort of threats, serious or not, it needs a response. The idea that you turn up at a strangers home, be a dick, not get your own way and then start threatening them, is bang out of order and beyond 'just ignore it', IMHO. Make a complaint and tell them you want it dealt with!People are nutters.
Slightly ironic that they want compensation for wasted time and diesel but then making threats to come visit you (again) which would take???? Oh yes, time and diesel.
If they were going to do something they would of done it there and then.
Report to 101 like you have done and block. "Buyer" was a proper weirdo and probably not the first time they have done it.

He's threatened you. Take it seriously. The guy could be a complete loony just been released from some mental institution. It matters not his size, he could produce a machete.
