Orange lights on scamera van
Discussion
Saw a scamera van today on the A428 just south of Northampton... POLICE on the bonnet and ORANGE lights - four of them - in the light bar.
Now, is there a legitimate reason why such a van should have orange lights, or is it, as I suspect, a sneaky way of making it look like a harmless works van?

Interesting you should bring this up Pigeon. I went up to Wigan today to a supplier. As I was in there, a chap came in raving about a scam on the dual carriageway A49 (after leaving the northbound motorway) into town.
It seems they were parked in the central reservation in a "HIRED" van with NO camera signs and a tripod mounted camera JUST inside the change from 40 to 30 mph.
Was told he had a hi-Viz vest on with Greater Manchester SCP on it. (ie a civvy)
Anyone in that area watch out, remember, when the sunshines...................the cuckoo's are about!!!

Report it - that's a 3 point endorsement under the "Constructions and Use" regulations.
