PCN Advice, again. I'm sorry

Never did I think I'd start one of these threads but hear i am.
Before we go any farther i am accepting responsibility that i missed the signage completely but i'm now grasping at straws.
My company has several car parks that are used. 2 main ones which until recently were the following
- Main car park had x amount of normal spaces and x amount of spaced restricted to those who are in the liftshare / car share scheme.
- Another car park that is used for normal car park overflow.
I was off sick and travelling and was not even close to being up to date on emails and in this time the above changed to:
- Main car park is now ALL normal spaces
- Previous overflow car park is now 100% car share only.
On three occasions i've parked in what i thought was the overflow car park but of course is now only liftshare.
So far i have received 2 PCN's and i suspect at least another one on the way.
The signage is there however is only states "permit holders only" - as far as i was aware i am a permit holder as i have a car registered with the building as being an employee and registered to park in the normal spaces. I am not part of teh car share scheme.
I don't mind taking it on the chin for one of these, happy to cough up but my argument is that had i been aware that this car park was recently converted to ONLY liftshare then i wouldn't have parked there. Clearly noone in their right mind parks in a car park more than once if they are aware they are going to get a ticket - never mind three times.
Any defence here or am i just paying up, ignorance not being a defence and all that.
Please leave out the silly comments about the signage being there so serves me right etc. i've seen enoug of these threads to know how it might go, if i'm in the wrong and i'm paying then so be it.

Sorry but I would be visiting whoever manages the parking for your company. Explain that you had been off work sick during the change over and had not read the emails reference the parking rules change until after the incidents of illegal parking. I would then expect them to sort it out.
What I would ask though was there any email/notifications going about before the change too place and if so was it before you went off sick. I can’t believe they didn’t give you considerable notice prior to it happening. This of course depends on how long you have been off sick.

To update.
My employer has been in touch with the Landlords who own this car park and have stated they are not prepared to cancel these tickets. Not that they can't, but they aren't prepared to.
I've now received 3 PCN's.
Having never navigated Peppipoo before - are there any tips?

You can normally google "Parking Shyster Court" to see how litigious they are. Some are highly litigious - others you can safely bin their threatograms.

The firm are parking eye who seem to enjoy court.
Annoying;y, out of the three that I’ve got the latest one says I need to pay by the 20th. Only 2 days after the letter was sent.
I guess I need to pay now and fight after?

OP, re your employer telling you of the change. If you weren't aware before you went off sick/travelling how come you didn't find out the day you returned to work?
S11Steve is your man, but I'm fairly sure that 'Permit holders only' is a forbidding contract so, if you do not in fact have a permit, none has been formed.
The remedy would therefore be an action for trespass not breach of contract.
