Quick question on NOIP timescale

I thought I had got caught speeding a couple of weeks ago and have been waiting for the dreaded letter. Camera van on the way to Skipton. It was 2 weeks ago yesterday. Is it 2 weeks from the offence or 2 weeks for them to post it?

Must be served within 14 days not including the day of the offence.
Served on the registered keeper of the vehicle so are you the registered keeper & are your name & address details current on the registration document?
If the registered keeper is anyone else then providing the NIP was served on them within the 14 days the service will be deemed good.

They also have a Caveat that extreme circumstances that can cause a legitimate delay means that it can be served after the 14 days and still be valid , like a postal strike. Or possibly a worldwide pandemic! Not sure but I expect that will put the two weeks out the window. I am waiting on possibnly getting one too (near Bingley) and I am going to give it longer than two weeks before I relax.

As per paintman’s post. 14 days to serve the Notice. Not send. Serve. Day of offence is day 0. In the instant case, the deadline for service is today.

Fair enough, I'm sure you're right... I read that from some official documentation/info I'm sure last time I got a speeding ticket. Btw referencing court cases to people who don't work in that area is pretty pointless - I have no idea how to research that!
