There is a furore about why this game went ahead, its getting louder and it got me thinking. I am a hospitality season ticket holder and was at the game, they sell hospitality seats to away fans as well as home fans and I found myself sat next to 2 Spanish supporters. (I was very nerny about this and contemplated leaving but didnt).
If I had known I was sitting next to Spanish I wouldnt have gone, did LFC breach any duty of care of was this prior to having any rules in place?

It's all easy / obvious in hindsight.
At the time, games in Spain were off, but they were not in lockdown - hence fans could travel.
You knew there would be away fans there - you could have left at any point after realising the proximity

I think LFC would have been damned if they did and damned if they didn't. You would have had lots of supporters arguing that they were adult enough and responsible enough to make their own decisions (much as you do elsewhere on the various CV19 threads)If I had known I was sitting next to Spanish I wouldnt have gone, did LFC breach any duty of care of was this prior to having any rules in place?

If you’re a hospitality season ticket holder would you not have experienced sitting next to away fans at previous games? If so you could have reasonably expected the same to happen at this game.Wait a minute OP; you're thinking of joining a class action that would cost the club you support lots of money?
It's like taking legal action against a relative because they hosted a family lunch before the March 26th lockdown regulations came in to force.
Liverpool acted quite normally and in compliance with the regulations at the time.

Years & years of violence & thuggery by so-called 'fans' putting genuine fans in fear of being anywhere near the oppositions supporters.
An enormous waste of police & medical resources dealing with the result of what is after all a commercial organisation.

Was there extreme aggravation from that individual and did they behave in any way which you felt threatened by?
Would it have been any different if it was a Spanish Citizen but a LFC fan? Or if it were even a British Citizen who supported Manchester Untied but got a free hospitality pass?
I'm not going to lie, I've been in hospitality for events where I either didn't support either team and / or sometimes wasn't even all that fond of the sport I was watching. Would you have had a problem with myself as a neutral turn up to a hospitality event and had been sat next to you as a neutral?

Did you see the LFC fans behaviour last season when Manchester City’s player coach was arriving at Anfield? Utterly disgraceful behaviour and the police did nothing , the club wasn’t punished in any way. Unbelievable.
