Power of Attorney document for signature - wrong name

Hi all

Quick question, I am signing a Power of Attorney document for my parents but the legal company have put a wrong name on (my middle name).

Can I cross out and correct or will the entire document and all 5 copies need re-issuing?

I'd check with the company which prepared it (are they lawyers?)

I would personally be ok with a manuscript amendment initialled by both you and the witness. IAAL but IANYL etc

surely, with respect to you AAL, it's not what you would be happy with, but what is required to make it a"safe" LPoA? The last thing the OP needs is for it to be challenged in the future when it is needed.

look, when i say "i would be ok" or "i would be happy with", i don't mean "it would fill me with joy to see a POA amended in that way", but i would be comfortable with it, and comfortable to advise on it. I thought that was pretty much obvious?
