Debit card payments being taken incorrectly.... question

This is a bit of a complex one. So I run a small side business and as part of that I use MS Office 2016 on Mac. Every month a charge appears on my company debit card for £9.48. I assumed it was an office subscription as I was using Office without issue and could download everything and it all worked without issue.
I decided to cancel the sub as to be honest, the stuff I do can be done with openoffice. However, it appears there is no subscription to cancel. None are listed on my email address. Somehow (and I don't know how) the several copies of office in my MS account are actually perpetual copies, so not subscription. It gets complex because MS have gifted me several packages (ie MSDN Pro) over the years, so its a long history of various additions.
After speaking to MS for over two hours (over several different depts) and getting not too far, they suggested I cancel the continous payment authority and file a chargeback. That is easy enough to do but it unnerves me because MS will still try and take the money and it escaltes as no service has been cancelled and they may turn round and ask for the chargeback money back.
This charge goes right back to 2016 or so, therefore it is over £400 of charges. I dont want to make things worse, but how can I resolve this. MS can't even tell me anything other than it has a business account attatched to it. It may be some old historic account but I have tried most of them just to check.
I can't just close the account as I would lose the perpertual copies of office which are worth a few hundred quid!

I would ask when the charge started from and then go back and look for an email around that date to identify what product it was linked from
why not just stop any future payments (this is distinct from a chargeback which is refunding old payments) - you would probably then get MS contacting you asking why payment is not going through and therm you can cancel the product if you want.
