Penalty Charge Notice - questionable photographic evidence

I have received a Penalty Charge Notice for driving in a bus lane, based on photographic evidence. Two colour pictures show a red car 'similar' to mine, while a third (black and white) picture shows a car with the same registration mark as mine but clearly does not appear to be the same colour. Is there enough of a technicality to challenge this with a realistic chance of getting the PCN cancelled?

OP, taking responsibility for your actions is one of those life lessons. Grow up and hold your hands up. Otherwise, contesting it is a waste of resources. Everyone involved with the process has to be paid. That’s why 20% of all people in the UK, and growing, are in the public sector being paid for by your taxes. If everyone took responsibility for their actions, we wouldn’t need half of them.

Was it you? If so, you will need to pay up I’m afraid. If not, then contest but I can’t really see what your case is going to be based on?

I've paid it just now - worth a discussion (especially as I had 2 parking fines overturned in the last 18 months based on technicalities)

May I suggest you reconsider the way you conduct yourself when in your car and it would probably save a load of hassle.

How do you know it's not an infra-red camera used for better pictures taken in the dark? The "colour" of your car would apear very different to that from a "normal" camera.

i think we can all see that the second pic is a photo of a white or very pale colour car, not a red car and not some super xray thermal vision camera.

and to me they dont even look like the same model of car, red one looks like a twingo or older style kia picanto ? or something , headlights totally different shape to the car in the second pic.

do they say they think both vehicles are your car?

No it doesn't, the OP has paid up, he knew it was him, and he knows the cars are the same as if he thought there was a rogue car using his reg plat he would have been all over it.
