39 in a 30 Notice Of Prosecution

A few days ago I was coming back from town in my shed ML270 when I saw a police camera van on the side of the road, I didn't pay any attention because I could see I was sat dead on at 39 in the 40 zone. Well I wake up today to find out it's actually a 30 zone So I've filled my details in on the NTP letter and admitted full liability, just wondering if I'd be offered an awareness course seeing as it's between 35-42? I'm 20 with no points [yet].

Nope, only that you are within a specified speed range (you are), that you've not completed a similar course within the past 3 years (unless it's Dorset), that the paperwork is returned to them within time, and that they feel inclined / able to extend you an invitation.

Nope, only that you are within a specified speed range (you are), that you've not completed a similar course within the past 3 years (unless it's Dorset), that the paperwork is returned to them within time, and that they feel inclined / able to extend you an invitation.

Is the location of offence far from you? Why don’t you go back to make sure it was actually a 30 and not a 40 like you thought?

It's a 30, I just never spotted the sign. It's completely on me

Unlucky, but as said, within course limits. I think 42 mph is the crossover point.
