Safe Speed Radio (a shoutcast internet stream) is now testing.

Presently 'looped' is a 1 hour programme including an interview with Richard Brunstrom carried out by Steve Farrell of MCN last autumn.

In order to join the Shoutcast stream you need Winamp (great bit of software) from http://www.winamp.com

The test service accomodates 16 simultaneous users. A full service will launch in July and accomodate at least 100 listeners.

Since it's a test, the service is liable to interruption and feedback on any technical problems would be very welcome.

This is the link for the streaming audio:

Bruntrom gets increasingly angry, and refuses to answer the question. Good stuff.

Paul, what kind of equipment do you use for this stream? I can help with technical suggestions for audio quality if you like. I know nothing about the computer side of things, but I can certainly advise you on good audio practice for good sound quality (mics, headphones, mixing desk etc).

Presently I'm still getting organised. The Brunstrom interview was recorded by others at FAR too high a level, (well clipped) and I'm planning at trying to clean it up a bit later this afternoon.

I do have a background in electronic engineering, and I'm doing it with very cheap second hand kit from eBay. Presently I'm still working on the configuration. Give me a ring, by all means when you have a minute and I'll explain what I'm doing. I'm on 01862 832000.

Thanks.
