Just a thought but if i was to do the Brit ball run & badged the Esprit up like this little puppy below am i committing an offence!? Blue lights working etc, best left alone? Maybe thinking if not Police perhaps ghost busters type thing? Will they see the funny or will i be wasting my time as we will be nicked before leaving Bristol?

i've seen privately owned, liveried ex-police cars on the road, with the 'police' bit and the blue lights covered up (there's a club as far as I know)

best thing might be to do it as a US cop car, with red lights

So its pretty much cut & dried, any form of lights weather its flashing blue, red to the front, white to the rear & your nicked? Is there any way to show its clear your not seriously impersonating a police officer, or ghost buster for that matter? (yea i know by not doing it I suppose).

& as to why... well its for charity isnt it!!

The key wording in the parts related to red lights to front and the types of flashing light suggested is...

No vehicle shall be fitted...

note the word FITTED.
