Why should they be let off?.

It appears that in 133 cases they were not committing an offence. See Section 87 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Not very good factual reporting.

No dought that the responses will be one rule for one and one for another. After the shift do 'they' not revert to 'the rest of us'? How many of us break the law during working hours? It is just we dont have the perk of getting away with it. Other perks maybe. If you wore a uniform and didnt pull it off, you'd think, "Where are the perks of this job"?

Correct - all Lancashire ambulances are like this. They had to take on an extra member of staff to process all the NIPs that they were getting as the flashing blue lights didn't show on the photos. So they fitted the fixed blue light
