I was rear ended in February. Full liability was admitted.
The muppet who rear ended me had one day cover insurance and was very reluctant to give me details of said insurance it was only after three or four phone calls he finally gave it up.
My car was fixed via an ambulance chaser their monies for the hire car was claimed back through third parties insurance. I had the letter to confirm.
A personal injury claim was also made and an offer was received at the start of this month which I declined.
I recived an email today informing me that the third party insurers are now saying that the driver wasn't insured after all. They have attached a MIB form for me to fill in so they can submit it on my behalf.
WTF?
Surely the third party insurers must have realised that their driver wasn't insured before paying the ambulance chasers and making an offer to settle the personal injury claim.
I've emailed the solicitor hoping she can shed some light on the situation before I return the forms.

If any of it's true, i guess the OP finally burned through his monthly furlough money and found a new way of getting ££££ and not having to work, if his posts in that thread from May are anything to go by:

I'm curious as to how he got the £2500 a month furlough mentioned in Alex post when in March he claimed to be in the building trade on a self-employed basis.
Thought self-employed were under a different system & were paid as a grant?

Perhaps that one will disappear soon...Long story short seems a lot of sites are closing at the moment. There's lots of temporary delivery driver jobs I've applied for a dozen or so including Tesco.
