Consent to Drive Slips?

Evening All,

Swapping cars with a friend for convenience sake in a few weeks - both cars will be fully insured for this with comprehensive insurance advised of the change in location and primary driver.

Was wondering if there is any templates for permission slips for driving the car? Or if its even worth the bother. As we live in opposite parts of the country - is it worth having something to say the car has is being driven with consent, not for hire or reward signed (owner).

Not sure if I'm overthinking it or if its worth doing

Can't see any reasons why you'd need it.

If stopped by the police it will show that you are insured so won't be a problem.

If your mate is a named driver on the policy, there is no "permission" to give. I don't give Mrs Rooster permission to drive my car every time she goes out.
