Child Maintenance Service Issues

Has anyone had issues and taken any legal action against the CMS.
I have been through them for just over a year and their calculations seem to be the work of voodoo and everyone has told me different info.
> 1st calculation was massively out I challenged it 2019 and they dropped £200.
> Court order sent in May and new calculation issued which seems fine all children on same amount of nights new payment seems ok.
> Income dropped in may but I overpaid with the same amount.
> In july started 6 weeks of no work due covid and went on UC was told to pay £7 per week and then got a letter saying pay nothing.
> August I inform back to work and salary.
> 11 sept get a doc saying zero payments for the next year as on benefits!
> I challenged online and said my salary is in as £** on your system I am not on benefits!
> They did a rush calculation claiming a slight underpayment (£400) but it was £150 more a month than last year even though I am less and have children more.
> I formally challenge and they called to say kids on different nights as that's what ex says and they have lost my court order but admit they had in May! Guy tried to justify the calc then back tracked and realised it was wrong the new letter says my exs circumstances have changed.
> New payments wrong l but less a month, but now saying i owe £944 underpayment with no explanation. This has caused stress and destroyed the healed relationship with the mother who now thinks I am taking the micky,
She also won't understand that the new payment includes the £944 being paid off and demanding a lump sum for christmas!
