Essential working

This is doing my head in again.

In England there is no such thing as an essential worker. Anyone can leave home to work if they cannot dot so at home. In theory even in a non essential retail shop although there may not be as much to do!

Someone has just used the phrase on an email and I can’t rant at them. But I really want to!

I had an email from my agency, saying I'm an essential workers, but doesn't make much sense, as you say you are still allowed to work if you can't work from home..

I work in a warehouse for an non essential home furnisher.

The key worker moniker is there purely for self obsessed people to use the term when trying to queue jump at Aldi and attempting to scavenge free stuff out of Facebook local groups.

Pretty much, millions of people are key workers. If you're involved in any sort of manufacturing products you'll be a key worker, and there's loads. One lad I know produces whiskey for a well known brand, he's classed as a key worker.

My daughters a teacher. They were inundated with kids whos parents were suddenly key workers.

I appreciate we now have critical workers but its obvious there's a massive amount of piss taking happening.

Schools are shut in name only.

I know nothing about the public sector and have never claimed to.

The private sector however................

We called them deadwood that needed trimming, and to be honest the last firm I worked for had plenty until Maggie got involved, then it was goodnight Josephine

It’s to allow parents who work to get their children into school so they can earn money to pay their mortgage.
