Anyone here done an EUR1 form when exporting a car?
Discussion
Chap in Germany wants to buy my Caterham and has asked me to fill in a EUR1 form (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/eur1-and-eur-med-movement-certificate) for him so he doesn't have to pay additional duty on the car when importing it. Seems legit, has anyone done it before for a car? Maybe even have an example I could "copy" off do get it right?
Ok you wouldn't need a COO document then.
You may want to Speak to manufacturer about a Tariff code for the document.
Also when I've usually dealt with EUR1 docs you need it stamped via chamber of commerce. This is what i do albeit not vehicles.
That may be the issue with lockdown that he chamber will not allow you to submit the for for approval.
You are the exporter effectively and the buyer is the importer for names and addresses.
On that note how is it getting to him? via a transport company? If so they will do this document for you.

I sold it shortly after via SOR at sevens and classics, then moved to Spain a few months later anyway!
