So, I pull over to post a letter, get back in my car and the guy in the car to my right isn't letting me back into the queue. I drive down the bus lane for 60m or so and catcth the lights perfectly. Busted!

Any chance in getting off this one? I'm not hopeful...

I agree. The red mist descended. The letter I was posting was the WIN A SEAT competition form Auto Express. I'd better bloody win now!

Just think there's a little man/woman sitting at a screen with a joystick watching for people doing this all day long. What a satisfying job that must be. To55ers. Of course you were absolutely crazy doing this - it is sooo dangerous and look at all the buses you held up whilst doing so

Personally, I would have pulled into the side road, then turned around and come out into the lane 'properly'.

I must be missing something as I can't understand this. You can see anybodies car parked on the street, drive way, carpark or driving down the road etc and take a note of the plate and if your that keen also see which house the car owner comes and goes from thus getting their address. So why is posting a picture on the net an issue?

From the photos/timestamps it looks like you weren't indicating either, and you got from the postbox to the lights in 3 seconds - lucky they didn't do you for speeding as well

Whenever I see someone doing something illegal, I think to myself "Would I do that?". In this situation, I wouldn't. Sorry if that is harsh.

I pulled out and indicated for what was probably four or five seconds. It was obvious the guy in the white car wasn't about to let me in as he nudged right to the bumper of the car in front. I should have waited for him to pass and try the next person, but as I said, the old "Well, f*** you matey" sentiment overtook and I just got on my way. It was 3 seconds from the bus stop to the lights which is a reasonable distance at about 30mph-ish.

But weren't you guilty of the offence as soon as you entered (and then parked) in the bus lane?

It just makes things easier for them. The pictures will probably end up in googles image database where you can just browse through a load of pictures until you find one that suits your nefarious needs Plus you get a lot of odd people on the internet anyway

If I wanted to clone a plate I'd just drive to the nearest dealer for that car and snoop around.

The whole 'omg I can see ur reg plate!!!' internet thing is crazy tbh.
