Do I need to declare SORN in this situation

I have a car currently taxed, insured and mot'd but the MOT expires tomorrow I know it needs a chunk of money to get through MOT so still weighing up whether to get rid or repair. I can keep on my drive while no MOT and tax and insure it but do I need to declare it SORN, it would only be a week or 2 until I decide what to do.

Bear in mind you can effectively only SORN in whole months (actually you only pay road tax in whole months) therefore will it be off the road for the whole of March or longer? If so, SORN, otherwise no point, just tax it again when due. You have already paid for February so you have the rest of this week to think about it.
