Notice of intended prosecution

So last week I got snapped by a speeding van.

My fault I was speeding and rightfully received the Notice of intended prosecution today.

Have sent it away but am not sure what I am likely to get back.

13 years clean license and got recorded doing 69mph in a 50. Any one know what I should be expecting in terms of points and a fine?

4-6 points plus a fine IIRC, under 64mph would have got you a SAC.

You’re looking at a fixed penalty of 3 points and £100.

I hope your right but I couldn’t work it out on the tables of speeds I’ve seen.

Seems I’m a little over the speed for the awareness course but not at an extremely excessive speed

These are the sentencing guidelines if you “go to court”.

You will be offered a FPN.

i got done a few years back for 56 in a 40 and got 3pts/100 quid fine so working back from that to your position i'd reckon the same.

OP you’ll be offered a fixed penalty ticket (assuming you have less than nine points on your licence).

£100 fine and three points.

Or you can elect to go to court if you wish (although from the sounds of it you won’t be doing that). If you go to court the above is right.

I got caught at 72 in a 50 (motorway average zone) a couple of years ago. £100 and 3 points.

Christ OP, that's not very PH. You can't say that, the rules are have have to bleat and whine, used the word "scamera", and basically accept no responsibility for your actions whatsoever.

Yep, for anyone in a similar position just wait for a bit and if your lucky, agtlaw or vonhosen will put you right! They DO know what they're talking about!
