B13 Notice of an application to register easements?

I've had a letter through from the Land registry, stating that a neighbouring property wants to register rights, namely right of drainage. The house is owned by the son of our now deceased neighbour who is renting out the house. He lives an hour and a half away so understand that he's not given us a polite knock on the door out of courtesy.
It's all in legal speak but the gist seems to be their drains connects to ours, (the property was built 70 years after ours) and the access is on our land. Anything to worry about or object to? I wondered if he was just getting things in order to sell as it's been rented for over 2 years now.
Anyone had similar and can advise?
