DVLA change 2 private plates at the same time?

I've checked DVLA website but cant find the answer so asking the knowledgable PH mind hive.

Is it possible to change 2 private plates at the same time with the DVLA online?

i.e. the car currently has a private reg which i want to remove and retain, and then add a different private plate to the car (already on retention)? Ideally I want to do all this in one go - is this possible?

bugger, thought so. Is there an alternative way to do this all in one go by post or in person at DVLA? i'm not sure there are any DVLA offices open anymore
