AC not working after accident

My parked car was hit by a car sliding around in the snow in January. That car then hit another car. A neighbour passed on the driver's details
Car was repaired. Came back blowing out hot air. Went back. Came back regassed. Then not working again
The damage to the car was offside front and as part of repair, the offside front AC condenser was replaced. The repair place have the car for a second time and this time sent it to main dealer for diagnostics
Main dealer have said driver side AC condenser is leaking. AC was working fine prior to accident. Now not working fine.
Insurance company have refused to authorise repair. Not sure why because it was too late in the day for me to call them when I found this out late this afternoon. I'll call tmrw
How can I get this repair authorised? Insurer is Aviva fwiw

I remember a friend of mine got hit from behind in an old rover 420 about 20 years ago.
Nothing too bad but when he got the car back the gearbox was constantly throwing the car out of gear, he had a devils own job trying to get the insurance company to sort it out.
I'm sure it got sorted eventually but he had to keep onto them

It is possible that you've had a stone take out that other side since the repair, at least that's what they will say unfortunately!
Unlikely because I reported it as not working within a couple of days of the car originally being returned to me. Let's see
I'll call up my insurance company today and see how it goes.
