i just got flashed on the m25 northbound between J16 an 17 (I think) doing 80 on my GPS. Someone else was done just behind me, and I saw another on the other side a few seconds later too. I have never seen these go off before, maybe they have just been loaded or the trigger speed set lower. I wish someone else had found out first for me!

Oh Dear - can you be more precise about the location - I didn't think there were any cameras between J16 and 17 (thats M40 to Maple Cross section) - nothing on my current RA data base - at least no alarms this morning.

sorry i can't be super specific. It was one of the overhead gantries that has the camera signs on them, so no excuse for me really, only I have never seen or heard of them going off before. It was about 5 miles after the roadworks had finished, and maybe a few miles before the variable speed limit bit ends, if that helps.

I'd say there is a pretty good chance you got snapped. Prepare to launch P.A.C.E salvo.

Anyway why are the cameras not painted yellow?

Don't worry too much about it - there's a few stories like this around and no one has been prosecuted.

This includes me - I got flashed between jcs 16-15 doing an indicated 81 but never heard a peep

I was flashed southbound a month or two ago - there is a camera (or something) there but I don't think it counts unless the signs are displayed. There is no way I was at 70 or less (85+ minimum) shortly after the M40 and before the roadworks start.

ive seen them go off loads of times but ive never heard of anyone getting done by them.

if they were live, every single courier based around heathrow would now be jobless.

I recently read that a large proportion of these cameras were always out of film. I fancy your chances
