Well, if it's reduced for services not yet delivered, and they've not yet delivered any service because you cancelled, then surely the reduction would be 100%?

Has all contact been phone/internet rather than face to face at a dealer or similar?

Are you a retail, not business, customer?

If both yes, then I would be surprised if the cooling off /distance selling regs didn't apply. Could it be anything to do with a bespoke spec' or that they've ordered a vehicle specifically for you and can't return it?

Whats 'referred to above' in that document as that is what they are charging you for, likely arrangement fees, admin etc etc etc, no one can answer the question without the other piece of the jigsaw, just do a quick screengrab of that section and upload it.

If it's online only, and there were no T&Cs agreed to waive any rights, then I wouldn't be writing them a cheque in a hurry.
The problem is that for £1800, they might chase it further. Can you compromise with them?

Seems harsh.
I cancelled a car with Zen in March 2020, 13 days after ordering. Their response was ‘no problem we’ll be able to find another leaser’. Roll on 2 months and a call from a SEAT dealer , “ when can we deliver your car ” , I informed them I’d cancelled and had a cancellation email from Zen. Never heard anything since.

This has been discussed a few times on here before.

The broker has provided you with a service which you accepted, i.e. searched and found you a vehicle. Therefore the admin fee is payable for that service whether or not you go ahead with the vehicle or not. The 14 day cooling off period does not apply to this service element.

On the other hand, the cancellation fee I don’t think can be upheld, simply because you have cancelled the actual purchase within the 14 days.

After saying all of the above, it doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t get all your fee back for being a royal PITA with them, nor does it stop them pursuing all of the cancellations fees from you if they want to be a PITA aswell.
