Wifes Rover has been cloned

Plates have been seen on a blue Volvo in the Chepstow area on a car knicking fuel from two petrol stations. Wifes car is a rover & its red.

Mr plod seem surprised I knew all about Cloning & ANPR etc, had to explain that one! Apparently cloning is a weekly job for him.

DVLA I assume next, a new number & some new plates.

Hmmm wonder if we can get some free fuel meanwhile & immunity from speeding fines

I thought cloning was when you take an identical vehicle and give it the same identity by copying identification numbers and documentation to pass it off as the original.

The volvo is merely being used on false plates which is different. You can't disguise a volvo as a rover even if you get an elephant to sit on it!.

I was told yesterday about a woman whose car had been cloned and who was facing the imminemt arrival of bailiffs because of unpaid congestion charges and camera fines.

She had to go to the effort of proving she was innocent.

This ia totally true and discussed before.

She had written evidence from DVLA and police that her car had been cloned. She got a congestion charge penalty notice, supplied all the above mentioned documentation, penalty waived.

She then got more congedtion charge penalties, and replied to them referring to the earlier communication on the first notice. CC mob refused to accept this and set the debt recovery system in process.

The knuckle dragging bailiffs were actually at the door and cc muppets told her that she must send a copy of the full documentation from DVLA and police against each and every penalty notice.

What, he owned up to it, he could lose his job if his superiors found out.
