Magistrates results

Is it possible to find out a result from a magistrate's hearing? The offender was due before the Magistrate in August, on fairly serious charges, but there's nothing reported in the newspapers other than the bare fact of him being due in court.

I'm curious as to the outcome as I used to do some volunteering with this guy at a youth group. Charges relate to offences against a minor.

In Scotland Sheriff Court proceedings are published online, but only for 5 days.
