Went to tax my car on Saturday and the PO was closed. I'm just off to do it now, its only 2 miles away - will this be ok?

it'd be a bit of a sh1tter if you parked in the council car park while in the PO buying your tax and one of the gestapo nicked you for failure to display!

(And thanks for the reminder. I'd best send off the SORN notice so I don't get done, and get my tax at the weekend)

Bought a new car on Saturday. Obviously had to tax it to drive it away (collect later not an option due to distance involved), so that's £165 for 11 months, 1 day and 12 hours tax then

I bought a new car at the end of June and the garage were able to tax it for 12 months and 1 week which I thought was a fine deal. Apparently they have been able to do this for a while but not many bother.

I got a parking ticket for parking in a legitimate parking space outside the DVLA office. The traffic warden cried when I shouted at him and ran off. I don't think I have ever been more annoyed and not hit anyone.

I got a parking ticket while in the town hall offices paying a previous ticket. I didn't feel like paying £1.20 to pay and display for 5 mins of parking...... Annoying thing is the signature of the warden was the same as the one i'd just paid.... if i find the little tt....

You didn't pay in the car park opposite Traffic Warden Central? That sounds like the easiest ticket some friendless warden ever wrote..

It was more than £1.20...... £20 if paid within 7 days Therefore if a get away with not paying 17 times I'll have my money back
