Totally shit scheme.

My suggestion is to allow those who buy public transport season tickets for transport or to their place of work to be able to offset the cost against their tax code.

I live in a rural area and would need to get 2 buses and a train to get to work - would take 90 minutes against a 30 minute drive (on a good day).

I would commute to work by train if it was possible - I did it for two years and enjoyed the experience.

Why don't the Gov do more to pressure businesses into allowing staff to work from home. Not possible for everyone (our receptionist might struggle) but I could easily spend a day a week at home. On the odd occasion I have been allowed to work from home I have produced twice as much in a day.
